Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Signs MoU with Minda Corporation in Tokyo to Boost Auto Component Manufacturing

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met a delegation from Minda Corporation (Spark Minda Group) and its Japanese joint venture partners in Tokyo today, where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to strengthen the state’s advanced auto component manufacturing ecosystem.

The meeting included Aakash Minda, Executive Director of Minda Corporation, and Hiroaki Omori, Managing Director and CFO of Spark Minda Toyo Denso Pvt. Ltd. The MoU focuses on expanding high-technology auto component production in Uttar Pradesh, building on the company’s existing operations and expertise in automotive electronics and systems.

Chief Minister Adityanath assured the delegation of full government support, including seamless facilitation, land allocation, and infrastructure assistance. He emphasised the state’s commitment to fostering industrial growth, encouraging technology partnerships, and creating employment opportunities for local youth.

This agreement forms part of broader efforts during CM Adityanath’s visit to Japan to attract investments in key sectors. Uttar Pradesh has positioned itself as a preferred destination for manufacturing, particularly in automobiles and related components, thanks to its improving infrastructure, skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies.

Minda Corporation, a leading Indian auto component maker, has long-standing ties with Japanese partners and supplies products to major global and domestic vehicle manufacturers. The MoU is expected to bring advanced manufacturing practices, new job creation, and enhanced supply chain capabilities to the state.

The development aligns with Uttar Pradesh’s goal to become a major hub for the automotive industry, supporting India’s push toward electric mobility and high-value manufacturing. Officials highlighted that such partnerships will contribute to economic growth and technology transfer in the region.
