Embraer Signs First Forged Raw Material Supply Contract with Bharat Forge

Embraer selects Bharat Forge as its first Indian supplier, signing long-term contract for high-integrity forged raw materials and landing gear components.

Brazilian aerospace company Embraer has signed its first forged raw material supply contract with Indian firm Bharat Forge Limited.

The agreement covers the supply of critical forged components for Embraer’s aircraft programmes. Bharat Forge will provide high-quality forged parts from its facilities in India to support Embraer’s global production needs.

This marks Embraer’s first direct sourcing partnership with an Indian company for forged raw materials. The deal is expected to strengthen the supply chain for Embraer’s commercial and executive aircraft.

Arun Alagappan, Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said the contract with Embraer is an important milestone. He added that it reflects the growing confidence of global aerospace companies in Indian manufacturing capabilities.

Embraer officials described the partnership as a step towards diversifying its supplier base. The company aims to build more resilient supply chains while maintaining strict quality standards for safety-critical parts.

Bharat Forge will manufacture the forged components using advanced technology and processes that meet international aerospace requirements. The parts will undergo rigorous testing and certification before supply.

This agreement highlights the increasing role of Indian companies in the global aerospace supply chain. Bharat Forge, part of the Kalyani Group, is one of India’s leading manufacturers of forged and machined components. It already supplies major defence and automotive sectors worldwide.

Embraer is a leading producer of commercial, executive, and military aircraft. The partnership supports India’s goal of greater participation in global aerospace manufacturing and strengthens bilateral industrial ties between India & Brazil.
