Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has won multiple power transmission orders in the Middle East valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.
The contracts cover engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work for high-voltage transmission lines and substations. These projects will strengthen electricity networks in the region.
L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution business secured the orders in recent weeks. The scope includes design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the systems. The projects are expected to be completed over the next 18 to 30 months.
A senior L&T executive said the company is pleased to receive these orders. He added that they reflect the trust placed in L&T’s execution capabilities and technology in the international market.
The orders will help expand reliable power supply in growing economies of the Middle East. They include both new transmission infrastructure and upgrades to existing networks to handle higher electricity demand.
L&T has a strong presence in the Middle East power sector. The company has delivered several large transmission and distribution projects in countries such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar in the past.
This latest success adds to L&T’s healthy order book in the international power segment. The company continues to focus on high-growth regions as global demand for reliable electricity infrastructure rises. L&T remains one of India’s leading engineering and construction firms with significant expertise in power transmission projects both at home and abroad.
