Enviro Infra Engineers has secured a ₹921 crore contract under the Swachh Maharashtra Mission for a major sewage treatment and sewerage network project in Pune and Nashik districts.
The company will build a 120 million litres per day (MLD) sewage treatment plant. The project also includes approximately 350 km of diversion works and about 1,200 km of sewerage network. It targets cities with more than one lakh population in the two districts.
The contract covers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work. The new plant will treat wastewater before it enters rivers and other water bodies. This will help improve water quality and support cleaner surroundings in the region.
A company spokesperson said the project marks an important addition to Enviro Infra Engineers’ order book. The firm will focus on timely and quality delivery to meet the mission’s goals for better urban sanitation.
The 120 MLD plant forms the core of the project. Diversion works will redirect sewage flows to the treatment facility. The extensive sewerage network will collect wastewater from households and other sources across multiple towns.
This contract comes under the Swachh Maharashtra Mission, which aims to improve sanitation and wastewater management across the state. It supports broader national efforts to treat sewage and reduce pollution in rivers.
Enviro Infra Engineers specialises in water and wastewater treatment projects. The company has completed many similar sewage treatment plants and sewerage schemes for government bodies in different states. The sector continues to grow as more cities invest in modern infrastructure to handle urban wastewater and meet environmental standards. This latest win strengthens the company’s position in Maharashtra’s sanitation improvement drive.
