India’s home-grown fighter jet, the LCA Tejas, stole the show on the opening day of the Dubai Airshow 2025 with a powerful and graceful flying display! The sleek supersonic jet roared through the skies over Al Maktoum Airport, showing off its amazing speed, sharp turns, and smooth handling in front of thousands of excited visitors from around the world.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) sent the Tejas along with the famous Suryakiran Aerobatic Team to the big event, which runs from November 17 to 21. The Tejas did a solo flypast packed with high-energy moves, complete with smoke trails that lit up the blue sky. People cheered as it zoomed past big names like the US F-35, French Rafale, and Russian Su-57. Many said the Tejas looked super confident and proved why India is proud of its “Make in India” fighter jet.
Air Marshal Narmdeshwar Tiwari, Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force, told reporters that interest in the Tejas is huge. “Buyers from other countries are very keen because we’re ordering almost 200 of these jets ourselves. It shows how reliable and capable it is!” he said. The Tejas was invited specially by the UAE, highlighting the strong friendship between India and the UAE in defence matters.
India has a big pavilion at the show too, displaying weapons like the BrahMos missile and tech from Indian companies. This is all part of pushing Indian-made defence gear to the world market.
There was a small buzz on social media about a video showing some liquid dripping from a Tejas on the ground but experts quickly explained it was just normal water from the jet’s air-conditioning system draining out in the hot Dubai weather. Nothing serious, and it happens with many fighter jets!
Overall, the Tejas flypast was a proud moment for India, showing how far our aerospace tech has come. Aviation fans are already calling it one of the highlights of the show!
