Andhra Pradesh Eyes Tie-Up with South Korea’s LG AI Research for India’s First AI University in Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh is all set to build India’s very first full-fledged Artificial Intelligence University in Amaravati, and it wants South Korean tech giant LG to be its big partner! State IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh met top officials from LG AI Research in Seoul this week and invited them to join hands for this exciting project.

Minister Lokesh shared pictures and updates from the meeting on social media, saying the talks were very positive. LG AI Research is one of the world’s best AI labs and works on super-smart technologies like EXAONE their own large language model (like ChatGPT but made in Korea). The state hopes LG will help set up research centres, train teachers and students, share the latest AI tools, and even bring Korean professors to Amaravati.

This AI University is part of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s big dream to make Andhra Pradesh a global hub for artificial intelligence and new technology. The campus will teach everything from basic AI to advanced robotics, data science, and even how to use AI safely and ethically. Once ready, it will be the first university in India completely focused on AI a huge step for the country!

LG officials showed a lot of interest and promised to send a team to Andhra Pradesh soon to work out the details. This partnership could bring Korean money, expertise, and jobs to the state while giving Indian students world-class training right at home.

This will create thousands of high-paying jobs and put Amaravati on the world AI map, just like Bengaluru did for IT years ago.
